Wedding - 21st February - Shirley & Robert

Well what a sensational wedding Shirley and Robert's day turned out to be.

Somehow the storms, a stray dog, and everybody's efforts made it one of the best weddings yet!!!

Shirley was absolutely a stunning, and we couldn't get her to stop smiling all day if we tried (not that we wanted to...). Robert, who is in the US Army, was looking sensational in his military dress (including his medals which were the topic of much discussion...). Together they made a stunning couple, full of fun and energy - which just makes our job EASY!

The skies threatened to open, and did a few times too, releasing a deluge of water at a few inappropriate moments... but even thought there may have been a tear or two, there were absolutely no complaints :D

A few funny stories which i think i'll share....

  • During the ceremony, and the emotional exchange of vowels... a stray dog decided to take refuge in the church. Undeterred, the proceedings continued while a few tried to usher the dog back out :D
  • It was the day of Robert's... Robert the Groom, Robert (Bob) Robert's father, Robert one of the chauffeur's, Robert myself, and i'm sure there were more...

As you can see from the photos, the weather wasn't all blue skies and sunshine, but that's no problem for us! As you can see, the images are all still very dynamic and vibrant. Just one of the assurances you get from us - our experience allows us to shoot in ANY situation with STUNNING results. Of course we did manage to get our studio lighting out during a break in the rain to capture the stormy skies... even if it did start raining again. At the risk of blowing up gear (which I have done on more than one occasion), we managed to get a few more shots in before we head off to the reception.

Thanks very much to Shirley and Robert for being an awesome couple to shoot, and giving us the opportunity to share their day with them.

Thanks to Sean for his job on 2nd photographer too - and for his top-notch gear-protection efforts to ensure we didn't damaged anything in the rain.

CEREMONY: Our Lady, Queen of Peace in Wentworthville
RECEPTION: Le Montage in Lilyfield
